It made me smile to see a ghost:
Patchy signal and some tricky roads made it an little difficult to update- sorry.
Seeing brothers from other mothers in the shape of Kari and James lurking in a Warsaw carpark with a Transporter and box trailer stuffed to the max with the most incredibly generously donated stock of medical supplies, winter clothing, sleeping bags, booster seats, bottled water and crates of Monster etc it was a massive spirit lift.

The guys had put a 15 hour non-stop drive in from Finland to basically trade insults with me and that's why they're awesome humans.
Thank you to everyone in the Fin that put a huge amount of hard yards in so the lads could be released from whatever institution is currently holding them.

So.. med equipment hauled into a central distribution hub and will be winging it's way around the country via smaller, less conspicuous vehicles, Kharkiv and Kyiv being the main end users.

Generators into Lyviv and then on to another town to meet the onward transport and drop clothing, food, kids cold weather gear etc for a Kids home.

Stopped at a refugee shelter so I could sleep in thier car park and got bullied by the ladies inside into taking a bag of biscuits and bowl of soup - agreed it was best thing I'd ever tasted as it seemed like they'd probably kill me in my sleep if I didn't.

Bounced out the next day to head back to the border and dropped some surgical disinfectants that had been hiding in a crate. Route planning was shattered by the sight and sound of a UAF Mig on full burn at low altitude - big shout out to the Ghost of Kyiv.

Met a crew of squaddies steaming in the cold as they raced to build a fortification, I had a wood fired stew cooker and a crate or water and monster for them, I've never seen lad that age get excited about cooking so I'm guessing they've been on cold scoff.

Back on the road North and made my way passed the queues of vehicles that starts 20+ kilometres before the border and the queues of kids and women standing in the light snowfall and steady breeze that rips at your body heat like a shoal of piranhas. It hits me hard seeing that.

I found a food station being run by a crew of Americans and emptied anything edible and drinkable from the truck into thier store tent. I'm going to take day to see my family and make a lot of calls. A knight in green scrubs is heading our way soon and somehow we need to find and adapt a Landcruiser to become a battlefield ambulance as well as anything else we can blag.

I saw a photo of a soldier trying to administer first aid to the father of a family of 5 after a morter attack, he was the only one with a pulse. We need this ambulance.

Massive thanks to everyone who chipped in no matter how big or small, you helped with getting some last minute requests, some fuel and even the snacks that kept us going on the way. The excess will go into the trucks tank to keep it rolling back in on the next run and for some smaller things we've since found out are needed.

Morning campers, was a bit hectic yesterday so apologies for the lack of updates, I'm chewing through data at a massive rate and its hugely spendy.
While you're chomping on cereal watch this little vid.
Big love to my Brothers who drove non-stop from Finland to Warsaw to deliver a massive amount of med kit and after 4 hours of luxo sleep will drive back with a empty van and do it all over again.

Camped up in a tourist hotspot and sipping a cold one in the hot tub as the snow starts to fall
It's been a strange day, the distrust wrote large across a guys face as they try to work out if they should shoot you or say thankyou ultimately dissolving into a smile and a laugh as you end up both drawing in the dirt on the side of the truck in order to understand each other. Today I've seen couples crying goodbyes, kids looking confused, communities working to build defences and I've seen defiance.

When you see a crowd moving towards you and for some reason it just looks wrong, an then you work out why, its entirely composed of women and children. That's the Ukrainian border. I've never seen so many toddlers in one place.

This is my friend Jez, from the UK. Jez is a badass. And a hero. As of right now, he's picked up supplies in Warsaw and Krakow, And is currently heading toward the Ukraine border. Based on his history, I think he knows how to do this… I wish I was copilot. And I hope many more follow his lead. Godspeed to you Jez, and stay safe!

Note to self; you had the opportunity to fit a cab heater a year ago, you didn't, you're an idiot. Crawled out of my sleeping bag, practiced calligraphy on the ice inside and made coffee, just waiting for the old girl to warm herself up and I'll hit the road
